In the work tasks for 2019, the part of "strengthening pollution prevention and control and ecological construction, and vigorously promoting green development" has been supplemented with "preventing and controlling agricultural non-point source pollution", "promoting reduction, resource utilization and harmlessness", "strengthening major scientific and technological research on pollution prevention and control", "insisting on source control", "adjusting and optimizing the energy structure", "improving the natural gas production, supply, storage and sales system", "vigorously developing renewable energy", "improving the pollution rights trading system", "continue to carry out the policy of returning farmland to forest, grassland and wetlands", and "improving the ecological compensation mechanism".

In addition, "promoting resource conservation and recycling" was changed to "promoting resource conservation, intensive development and recycling", "promoting green buildings" was changed to "promoting green buildings and green express packaging", and "continue to do a good job in land afforestation, sand control, soil erosion control and biodiversity protection" was changed to "continue to do a good job in land afforestation.
