The first is water pollution prevention and control funds of 78.3 billion yuan, focusing on supporting ecological protection and restoration of the Yangtze River Economic Zone, horizontal ecological compensation for the upstream and downstream of the river basin, and water pollution prevention and control in key river basins. Funds have played a very supportive role in the reduction of inferior Class V sections, the establishment of ecological compensation mechanisms in key river basins, the resolution of black and smelly water bodies, and the improvement of environmental quality.
